Searching for a Dataset:
- Go to the Central Catalog section from the home page or click on the Data Section from the top menu options.
- Search by Keyword
- In the Search by Keyword box, seen on the left margin of the Central Data Catalog page, you can search by keywords in the Study Description or Variable Description.
- Filter by Member Centre
- In the Filter by Member Centre box, seen on the left margin of the Central Data Catalog page, you can filter your search by clicking on the View/Select More link to filter by dataset release year and region.
- Filter by Year
- In the Filter by Year box, seen on the left margin of the Central Data Catalog page, you can filter your search by the year of the study period.
- Filter by Data Access
- In the Filter by Data Access box, seen on the left margin of the Central Data Catalog page, you can filter your search by the access type, viz., the open access datasets and licenced datasets.
- Filter by Country
- In the Filter by Country box, seen on the left margin of the Central Data Catalog page, you can filter your search by clicking on the View/Select More link to filter by Country displayed in alphabetical order or by Income or by Region.
Downloading a Dataset:
- After you have found the dataset you were looking for, select it by clicking on the Study Title
- Under the Study Description tab, you can view the Overview, Sampling, Data Collection, Data Processing, Data Appraisal and Access Policy information.
- Under the Data Dictionary tab, you can view the variable definitions and group variable information.
- To download the micro dataset, go to the Get Microdata tab. If you are not a registered user, register yourself first and login.
- Provide a brief on the intended use of the data, agree to the terms and conditions and Submit.
- A link will be provided to download the compressed file which contains the dataset in UTF-8 encoded text format.
