Enumerators and supervisors were trained immidiately prior to the baseline data collection and then refresher training is conducted for two weeks between each surveillance round. New fieldworkers recieved a standardised three weeks training course prior to appointment as data collectors.

Fieldworker operated in teams of between 2 and 6 fieldworkers supervised by a field supervisor. Field supervisor conducts supervision visits, quality control checks, review work done by filedworks and relocating fieldworks to their new place of work.
